ANTIQUE GRAIN MEASURE

A beautiful vintage grain measure with real character.

This timber and metal grain measure is sourced from France. It is made from a lightweight plywood and has a metal trim. There is a metal bar running down inside the pot and across the centre and would have been used for taking the scale hook.

This is a fabulous decorative accessory but could have many functional uses if you wish.
A magazine and paper holder, fill with dried florals or use as a plant stand - perhaps even an umbrella holder.

Its wear is consistent with its age and past use, although it has been preserved brilliantly.
It is a rustic gem.
